[PAID] Environment Art Consult (stylized 2.5D JRPG / Mega Man Legends vibe)

Hi! I run a small indie studio working on our first game, and we’re looking to hire an experienced 3D environment artist for a paid consultation.

We’re currently stuck on defining an environment art style + production pipeline that’s eye-catching, but feasible for a small team. Our target vibe is similar to Spark Ignites and Threads of Time (2.5D / stylized JRPG environments), with some Mega Man Legends and PS1/PS2 era styling sensibilities.

Hoping to buy a few hours of a talented artist's time to get some clarity around art style. After that, there will be more work down the road, immediately with getting some mock ups/concepts and then later, in actual development.

  • Engine: Unity

  • DCC: Blender

  • We also use pixel art tools for some textures (Aseprite, Pribambase, Sprytile), but we’re open to any toolchain suggestions at this time.

Budget:

  • Paid hourly. Please send your rate + portfolio. (I’m happy to pay professional rates for someone experienced.)
