[Unpaid] Seeking Concept Artist for Dark Fantasy RPG Vertical Slice (Creature/Environment)
Hey everyone,
I’m the creator and director of an early-stage dark fantasy rpg currently looking for a concept artist to establish visual tone for our vertical slice.
About the Project:
Working title: “Eternal Night”
Dark fantasy action RPG
Heavy focus on tone, atmosphere, embodied combat, and deep narrative
Thematic core: grief, endurance, and the cost to keep going
As a vertical slice, the scope is a self-contained “mini dungeon”
The narrative, systems, and slice structure are already defined. Directional references and documentation are in place, and we are ready to begin immediately.
What We’re Looking For:
A concept artist comfortable with:
Creatures and/or environments
Gritty, grounded dark fantasy
Mood, silhouette, and readability
Initial task: create a mood piece to establish tone and visual language.
Anything we don’t end up using remains yours, and you’ll receive full credit for all work. The project is currently unpaid, but we intend to continue working with collaborators long-term, with priority consideration for paid work post-funding if the collaboration is a good fit.
