Hey Polycounters,
I've been looking for someone to share, compete, work with and collab with making and complete unreal games in the range between 1-20 Gigabytes. I have an extensive unreal library and although I'm not looking for any specific Jam or Project I am looking for a specific person. I need someone that has some talent either starting out or intermediate. Not in it for money or fame or success but in it for a friend as we go through our days making video game art. Here's a little history of who I am and what I do...
I am a 3D Environment Artist and Materials Artist and User Interface Designer. I have done other things but this is mainly what I'm interested in doing now. If this sounds interesting or you have done this before and are looking for another person to make games with I'm interested.
I mainly do realistic and very saturated vibrant colors work. It ends up looking like more realistic more so than anything.
I will keep this short and to the point, because all I'd be looking for if I were you is my work, what does it look like so I know who I'll be working with and what style and type of work that I do so you know if its something you'd be interested in seeing a lot of regardless if were just friends competing against or with each other on challenges, and Video Game Art and Design In Our Free time.
By now your like links, work, links, images, style, reference, what type of projects. what type of projects will we be working on, and I can give you my previous works on Artstation and what is already on itch.io
My Discord availability is general.swordfox
But as requested by now your probably thinking well where are the links, where are the images, what am I going to be working with here, whats this dudes work look like, cause that's what I'd be asking myself in your position.
I will give you 3 of my best works as one image in each category of type of job / work
...which is...
Environment Artist
Material Artist
User Interface Designer
So... For Environment Artist some would say my best concept art to 3D Image scene that I fully replicated and went completely all out on the concept art to the final 3D scene images is my project called
Art Deco "Interior Environment": Original concept by Giorgio Grecu
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/AqQgo
This is my 3D Environment Model Remake of the original concept art

For my work as a Material Artist ...
...some would say my best work in traditional materials and traditional paintings would differ from my more modern PBR Materials so I'll show both all three. First in traditional pen markers I used Prismacolor Markers to create texture with these objects;

Paintings I made this traditional gouache red rock painting

And then for Material Artist I'd say my best and most fun works have been buildings Facade Materials which I would love to do more either building facade or building materials like tile and stuff like that for in unreal

For User Interface that's a newer addition to my work in video games so I'll show 3 of my most recent projects

I also want to share my current itch.io game at
https://foxtrotsix.itch.io/https://foxtrotsix.itch.io/water-slide-parkAnd those games on itch.io, which is not all my games I have ever released but is where I plan to release the most of my future games/ demos.
I did really like the last itch.io challenge jam that I did that the rules of the tournament were to take a template or preset and re make it not using any of the original default textures or shaders, and that was real fun making all the materials and textures from scratch. I really enjoyed that and would like to do something similar.
What will be required of you? Well it may or may not require a tea or coffee and early mornings and late nights given we both get plenty of sleep and may or may not require a bunch of Mountain Dew depending on your tastes. Other than that there are no requirements other than loving video games and have some design or art related background.
