Zbrush on Linux - Can't log into Maxon App

I am in dire need of help.
As you know, Windows 11 update is coming up and I desperately do not want to use it.
So I've been testing Linux Mint (ubuntu) for the past weeks and I'm finally at the stage of testing windows .exe files to get my work done on Linux.

The issue I'm running into is the Maxon App. Without logging into Maxon, I cannot use Zbrush.
I was able to get Zbrush running on PlayonLinux at least, but the pop-up message of telling me to login to Maxon prevented me from doing anything at all.

I did download the linux version off of their website and followed this guide:
https://support.maxon.net/hc/en-us/articles/4488783771154-Installing-and-using-the-Maxon-App-on-Linux

The step to login via ./mx1 is the issue right now. I use the terminal to do the

./mx1 user login -u myemail.com Enter password: mypassword

command. When I press enter, it asks for the password (it doesn't ask for the password of my Linux desktop because I tried putting that in too). When I type in the password, nothing shows up in the terminal screen. I googled the guides on ubuntu and apparently this is normal.
But no matter how many times I tried, the password doesn't work.
I even used
./mx1 -h
./mx1 user
./mx1 login
to try to get in; asked for my email, then password. Still doesn't work.

And I tried putting the Maxon App on PlayonLinux, but its an empty screen.

Worst case scenario is that I'll have to install Windows 11. Pray that the debloater works, and that my screen doesn't get recorded.

Have you tried the trial license (section 1f) from their guide? Seems like you might not need to login first to use that.
If that works and you can fire up Zbrush you should probably get in contact with their support about your user account and to check if your system is perhaps interfering with whatever the Maxon app is doing (blocking data transfer or the like).

Another question would be if the Maxon app is even officially supported on Ubuntu. Standard Linux platforms for VFX have traditionally been Red Hat/CentOS and - I believe - nowadays the platform of choice is Rocky Linux. Maxon might have engineered it for this flavour of Linux.
