Zovian Games is looking for a mid to senior level animator for a short term paid contract to create 8 polished, animated video clips (3-5 seconds each) showcasing specific first person locomotion and parkour movements.
The goal of the video is to capture the weight, inertia, momentum, and emotional feel of each movement to guide future technical implementation.
Blockout environments are acceptable, as the primary focus is on the animation quality and how the movement feels.
We are flexible on tools and workflow. What matters most is clean, expressive animation with a strong sense of physicality and flow.
Experience animating first person movement
Strong grasp of weight, timing, inertia, and momentum
Ability to create polished, readable animation clips
Comfortable working independently with creative direction
Experience with animating camera movement and syncing it with animation to sell the motion and perspective
Previous work on parkour or traversal-heavy animation
Familiarity with gameplay-oriented animation needs
Understanding of how animation supports game feel
8 unique animation clips, each 3–5 seconds in length, covering different parkour-style movements. The length of the clip is dependent on the specific move.
Source animation files (Maya, Blender, etc.). AI generated videos will not be accepted.
Rendered video or playblast for each sequence.
This project will pay on a milestone basis, per clip completed. Please send your rates when applying for the job.
Each clip must have at least one informal check-in during the animation process, and has up to 2 formal revisions.
