so a technical character artist/rigger/face animator? I'm sure there's demand. Just need a portfolio and seek out the companies or clients you'd like to work for. What games do you like? What cinematics do you like? Find out who made them, match their performance then ask them if they need more hands
I don't think you're going to get away without learning maya/motionbuilder and the other stuff if you want to go do that sort of thing in a studio. What do you want to be building in 5 or 10 years? that'll tell you what you need to focus on.
