Hi
I need some advice/pointers on how best to approach torn fabric and fabric strands for games. I'm currently making a ragged robe asset for an enemy, so there's going to be plenty of rips and tears over it. This isn't something I've done before, so I just want to make sure I'm going to approach this right.

I have the Torn Fabric plugin installed with ZBrush, which is super cool and powerful, however the creator said in his video that it's not ideal for games. Has anyone used it for a game asset? Even just by applying it to a high poly and baking? Or is there a simpler/preferred way of tackling it? I suspect something in Substance Painter can be done with masking...? But as to fiber strands, such as on the hem, how are these typically tackled? I presume baking individual hairs/fibers in XGen?
Thanks
