Hi guys,
I'm looking for some feedback on my portfolio. I'm a 3D Environment artist specialized in stylized art.
I’ve been applying to a bunch of studios that I felt matched my style and skills, but so far, I’ve only gotten rejections, haven’t even made it to an interview.
I know that the industry is super competitive right now, which affects job applications, but it’s got me wondering if my portfolio just isn’t strong enough in today's market.
If anyone has time to take a look and give me some constructive feedback, what to improve, what’s missing, or anything that could help me stand out more, I’d really appreciate it!
Here’s the link to my portfolio:

Thanks so much in advance!

I see nothing wrong here
1. You're currently leading with some of your weaker pieces. The grass and mosaic, for example, don’t show your strengths as clearly as your environment work does. First impressions matter a lot, and you want to start strong.
2. There’s a heavy focus on props rather than full environment work. It’s worth keeping in mind that most large studios outsource prop work, and in-house roles tend to focus on environments and world building. You don’t want to confuse recruiters about what kind of role you’re targeting.
Here is how I would present it to get a foot in the door leading with stronger pieces:
One last point – and I say this only to help – your site lists you as a senior environment artist. That might actually be working against you. The bar for senior roles is quite high, and speaking personally, that title would raise certain expectations. If the portfolio doesn’t meet them, it can give the impression of a mismatch in judgment, which might turn some art directors off. It might be worth adjusting to simply environment artist to open more doors and get more conversations started.
For reference, here’s a piece I’d expect to see in a senior portfolio:

I know some of this might be hard to hear, but I’m rooting for you. You’re clearly putting in the work, and I’d love to see you making great art and getting paid well for it. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help.
