I'm currently working on a knife model. This is my current high poly (image attached). Now, I want to create a proper low poly version for baking and texturing, but I'm not sure about the best workflow to do this in Blender.
I would really appreciate any advice on:
The general approach for creating the low poly version from this high poly.
Whether I should use manual retopology, decimation, or some other technique.
Any important tips for optimizing the geometry while keeping the silhouette clean and sharp.
Best practices for UV unwrapping and preparing the low poly for baking.
I'm still learning, so any feedback or step-by-step recommendations would be super helpful!
