We are developing an exciting mobile fighting game in Unity and are currently looking for a skilled 3D Character Animator to bring our fighters to life! If you have experience creating fluid and responsive combat animations for 3D fighting games, we’d love to hear from you.
Role & Responsibilities:
Create high-quality fighter animations (punches, kicks, blocks, dodges, combos, special moves, etc.).
Ensure animations are fluid, responsive, and optimized for mobile performance.
Work closely with the development team to implement animations in Unity’s Mecanim system.
Refine animations to match the game’s combat mechanics and physics.
Maintain a consistent animation style suitable for a fighting game.
Requirements:
Proven experience in animating 3D fighters or action-based character animations.
Strong understanding of body mechanics, timing, and weight in animation.
Proficiency in Maya, Blender, or other 3D animation software.
Experience working with Unity’s animation system (Mecanim, Animation Rigging, etc.).
Ability to tweak animations based on gameplay feedback.
Nice to Have:
Experience in motion capture cleanup.
Previous work on fighting or action games.
Understanding of hitboxes, frame data, and combat mechanics in fighting games.
