Hi i got a question and it ok for me to post this here. Just make me wonder. If i was to say work on some shoes and they are the same kind, would it make sense to just unwrap one shoes and then leave it mirrored, so when i bring it to say substance painter, i won't have it where i filled up my uv with the islands of the shoes when just one can be used for both or better to have them both unwrapped with the all with seperate island, not overlay on each other even if their shoes are the same. just wondering on that. Here is a picture to show visual aid

Hi! When mirroring parts using the Mirror modifier in Blender, I typically offset the UVs of the generated geometry in the modifier settings by 1. Turning on "Modified Edges" in the overlays dropdown should give a preview how the UVs look like when the modifier is applied.

Mesh I used here is from a recent post by you. I think generally the geometry/UVs could be optimized (shoe-interior neccessary? maximize use of UV-space). Use triangulation modifier to ensure consistent mesh shading across applications.

wow I did NOT know I could do that with the mirror modify or the modify edges. That is very useful to know. VERY :)
Also yep, someone took the time to go thru my model in a video chat and show me some changes and the issues i was occuring. Even took the time to show me how to properly unwrap it and what I was using incorrectly.  This is good to know.
