Hi, for the first time in my history when browsing artstation jobs section there are only 2 available positions for 3d artists. On LinkedIn same thing, hard to see 3d artist job positions. Am i the only one who noticed this? What is happening ?
I think you mean there's only 2 for junior 3d artists. If you remove that filter there are 39 jobs listed. It's good to be aware that companies are not always hiring only experienced artists, if your portfolio is up to their standard then you have a good chance of being considered.
It sounds like you might be looking up jobs the wrong way because from what I see there are a number of jobs on LinkedIn. Not every 3D job is titled "3D Artist" so if thats how your looking things up then you wont see a whole lot as many positions are named after the specialty (i.e. 3D Animator, VFX Artist, Environment Artist). On top of that there are other options if LinkedIn isn't fetching you what your after like Artstation, Google, directly on company websites, etc.
Also as @Hymil said, its the holidays where hiring is slow, but things should pick back up after the holidays.

As others have said, don't filter by jobs listed by roles named "3D artist". There are not many results, you can just scroll and spot the 3D relevant one by reading the titles. Or use a platform with a better search algorithm like LinkedIn.
u see what im talking about? i remember last year for example and the year before, actually im always checking artstation open job positions and i have noticed something strange happening....because i remember every time i check there would be a lot of job positions labeled as 3d artist just some companies seek seniors, some juniors but nowadays its not the same. This started happening in mid 2024
