Current wip for a stylized version of Clive Rosfield from Finalfantasy 16; just the base anatomy  and the hair in this version.

will be moving on to blockout the clothes and equipment

I don't plan on spending too much time to blockout the fine details, will make some minor adjustments and then move on to the highpoly

new update! basically detailed everything that is needed. What's left would be to add more tietary details like memory folds and leather/damage; minor refinements.

Feel you about these more "elaborate highly detailed" works take a while, especially for some of us who came from old, n.d.s. designs that are at most 200 triangles.(where i came from)

Glad to come from a view of appreciation of the lowest to the somewhat highest & having experienced (somewhat) all too boot, have a respect for all levels now, anywho i look forward to more.  

The metal bits for some reason and idk if this is the look you are going for feel less "hard/sharp", which is a look i enjoy, re-reviewing your previous post/update i liked.

Oh yeah didn't see anyone asking, any concept for this or its all updating as you go?  If it is somehow your own concept, it would be nice to see more stuff.  (not requesting your latest work mentioned, the "something else".)Edit: saw the art station, ah i see.

I don't think i was deliberately going for the softer look of the metals haha.

I sorta have been doing this for most metal sculpts ever since I read somewhere that doing so makes it read better by exaggerating the bevels/edges; mainly for game assets.

I probably would keep it this way, at least for this project!

managed to retopo the model > 192k triangles

actually also unwrapped in and did the baking.. started texturing too! left with the head, hair and cape textures. The wip render here is from marmoset

wanted to post the retopo wip first but i couldn't wait to start doing the baking and texturing; alot more interesting than the retopo process tbh
