I am modeling a bed, and after baking, I am getting reflections or shadows on my model, such as the mattress and on some of the wood ends where it sits next to another plank of wood. Can someone explain why this is happening? If I remove the mattress, I don't get the errors, but I shouldn't have to break the model apart and bake separately to stop baking issues. I am new to games and would be very grateful if someone could help me.
Hi! That's probably the result of nearby geometry projecting onto each other. Check out Painters "Match by Name" option. The wiki entry on Texture baking describes the option of exploding the mesh. Personally with the options Painter and Toolbag (Bake Groups) offer, didn't do so since forever.
