I'm attempting another modelling challenge run by the folks over at 3dmodels, This time I'm doing a vehicle inspired by Syd Mead's sentinel 400.

I'll admit I'm running short on time with this challenge, as life keeps getting in the way. But I'll see how far I can get before the Dec 4th deadline.

I'm still blocking out the forms of the vehicle at the moment, definitely far off from what I wanted. But it's slowly getting there.

To get this to the point it needs to be, I'll need to spend this entire week finishing the model. Next week will be mix of unwrapping and getting the scene setup.

The environment will be set in "above the clouds" location, with blue clear skies, white buildings in the backgrounds, large stone landscape elements with stylized trimmed bushes within.

I've got the image in my head about 60% chance I'll be able to get it there in time. But I'm wanting to try for it!

With the deadline tomorrow its fair to say that life certainly got in the way. Trying to balance work and the demands of my baby twins has unfortunately made progress on this exceptionally non existent.

But I do still plan to finish this, and will continue to work away on it, I'll post updates when they are worthwhile.

In the first picture I started to play around with the scene trying to get a feel for what I wanted, playing with different assets I've made in the past. Couldn't really land on a composition I liked, not really a big deal since the model has a lot to go still. Will have to sketch out the composition to get my head in order.

Started to get the major forms of the vehicle in place, and started on working on topology, it's a real mess at this stage.

And that's all folks, I wish I had more to share but life happens.
