Portfolio Feedback

Hey everyone,

First time posting. I am a recently graduated 3D artist looking to enter the 3D industry. I am looking for feedback on my portfolio. Any advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The Apple2 might be on the more cleaner side of things, perhaps if you want to still play with it make a "what would it be like if someone was a teen with this product", stickers scratches things like this as an alternative "texture" to the design.  (good vintage game reference posts for ideas for this.) idk about the buttons and similar details being modeled in, aside from floaters that would have "lessened", the count but I'd ask someone in the industry AAA how they do their prop works, if this is the way then alright one object works for me and made sense.

Clean knife and holster looks just like the references, kind of same deal here, an alternative version might go along way. "more used".  But spot on.

Imgs for the magnum (for me do not do it justice enough as the viewer does) no c&c from me there i think its well-done, if i had to say perhaps some finger prints maybe some more pronounced metal revealing scratches/dents "dropped the gun down a few metal stairs" or something..

Over all works for me, also bout the p.m. yeah it sucks.

Your models are clean, but the lighting doesn’t give them much justice. It also feel like they’d benefit, as iam said, of textures that are a bit more worn-out, some dents and irregularities. The knife in particular doesn’t feel like a knife because it’s too clean. I’m not too much for the dents on the gun as it’s a game industry gimmick to make guns with dents; in reality people keep their armament in a state where it’s supposed to function. But yeah more grease dirt and dirt in the creases would help it feel more natural. Also some pieces like the trigger and the hammer don’t have bevels and that prevents nice light-catching effects on their edges.
