I stopped at Marvelous Designer 6.5 I ones got a permanent license as an Xmass deal .   It feels  so ancient, slow and and inconvenient nowadays .  Although I managed to get quite real looking things with it.     Never liked 3d max one .    What 's  GPU and cool now ?  with easy responsive tweaks?    Blender nodes maybe?   Looks like Blender is cpu only heating my laptop like crazy .

Haven't learned it much but zbrush has that cloth sim, its wonky for me but that is only because i am face-rolling(equivalent of smashing keyboard with head) into it without reading the doc.

I am also interested in anything fun, i think they changed the interface "controls" in MD 9.5 or so and its just a nightmare overall to work in the view-port when you want functionality like the best view-ports out there.

Guess its copyright-tin control scheme? which is why all can not have the same schemes? it works stop trying to reinvent what works...is what i would say to viewport scripters.

I've seen a bunch if machine learning clothsim stuff in the recent years, which to me looked like this is where we're heading in games  at least for some time, as its a lot lighter than actual cloth sim

Neox   Interesting  ,  you mean  producing the actual mesh or just images ?      I need to  make   a film/paper   loosely glued  to a wall surface with worn, torn   hanging edges and air babbles of wet layerd areas   still keeping some trace of  drying  tension reveling some surface bumps in dry areas   .   Like an old wallpaper covering  not very perfect wall.        Surprisingly not  as easy as it may seems.    Any advice ?     My guess i probably need  wet  and tension texture inputs.

no actual animation in engine, looked like simulated but was generated.
i do think there is even a chaos cloth machine learning plugin for unreal. but might be wrong.

but what you are doing doesnt sound like something a tool like this would solve, unless you train one yourself with some dataset you made yourself i guess

Just going to post a helpful video:
For anyone interested i stumbled upon this video, idk how helpful it might be here but the guy goes into depth that might make sense to someone out there who uses blender and probably can be figured out for other applications.
Haven't played with all the tools available so idk about blender and heat issues, sry to hear hopefully you figure that out or "blender" does.
