Hello,
I't's been a long long time since posting here...
I put 3D modeling on hold for a long time and came back to it over this summer.
I decided to pick up where I'd left off trying to get a grasp on anatomy and try and complete my ideal 'standard' character model.
For now, I wanted to focus mostly on getting the feet right. It's been the most frustrating and time consuming part for me. Here I have reached a point where I finally feel I got them to a point where I think i'm satisfied...
I wanted to make them somewhat 'idealized', trying hit a spot somewhere close to realism but not super detailed and attractive looking.
My first point of reference was from Ecorche, followed by looking at real life examples. I also checked out countless other sculpts by other artists and tried to pick out certain features that i thought looked good.
Greatful for any pointers, crits, anything

Here's where I'm at for the full body... still bashing away to fit the pose and make the anatomy work with it....
The head is a messy attempt at making a smile, solely for the purposes of making the teeth/gums. I tried making teeth with mouth closed, but couldn't get it quite right so I thought if i make a smile then It would help with positioning and sizing everything better.
As with my earlier work, I've been working to match the UE4 mannequin for posing purposes and IK joints. Also I've been following the heads/heights proportions for reference.
To be honest, I was hoping to get it to a more polished state before posting, but I kinda reached a point where I can can't get past second guessing myself and stuck in a circle of reworking things over and over.
I'm determined to get this 'standard' character model finished and satisfied with so I can use it as a 'correct' base so I can finally move on to making the characters I want and clothing/accessories, etc.
So, here it all is:
i'm thinking I'm almost done with the anatomy in terms of everything being pretty much in the right place... I can see some areas from the back view that still need tweaking...
After, I aim to go ahead and polish / smooth / clean everything up from here, and then focus on the more fine detailed areas to make them crisp and clean.
Hopefully I can also get to finishing the head/teeth soon, as they still need attention, then put everything together into a clean mesh...
I've been determined to get this done so I can finally get to what I really want to be doing, making characters that can be rigged and posed.
Starting from the bottom (feet), started working on polish and fine detailing pass...
I have made some progression on the upper body too (particularly torso/abdomen area) and hope to post soon when I think it's progressed enough from earlier post.
