Stylize crystal material and stylized asset creation

First post here! Hi everyone :)

I have been working on recreating Briar' (a character from League of Legend) weapon at the best of my -limited- capabilities. This is the main reference I used:
And here is my prop both in unlit and lit mode from substance painter, everything stock with "Studio Tomoco" environment:
Other than the various C&C that I would greatly appreciate, the biggest problem I'm encountering and where I would love to get some help is in the crystal in the middle. I found this great tutorial by Dylan Mellot (https://marmoset.co/posts/how-to-make-stylized-crystals-in-toolbag/#) that shows a crystal that I feel would greatly fit the scene. Problem it's 6 years old and marmoset doesn't have the dota preset no more for what I know. Meaning that I am stuck because I have no idea how to translate that method and make something similar in the newest version of Marmoset.
