It's great to see Tim Miller’s emotion as he unveils the project Blur Studio has been working on for the past three years - Secret Level @ Gamescom 2024.

It’s clear he’s thrilled to return to his true passion—creating high-fidelity game cinematics—this might be due to dealing with the complexities and politics of filmmaking. Regardless of the specifics, you can feel the genuine emotion this opportunity with Amazon has brought him. With the rise of streaming services, animation is definitely enjoying a renaissance and this project looks amazing.

This was such a pleasant surprise! I only glanced over the headlines around the web as none of them mentioned that Miller was attached to it...so thanks for the links, littleclaude.

Can't help but think of when I first saw that mech and pilot fmv for the og xbox (when the idea of working in video games was still just a pipe dream) and thought it was just the coolest thing I ever saw (hahaha) and first became aware of Tim Miller and Blur.
Man, makes me wish I could time travel back to see my younger self and either knock his f*king teeth out or give him a big push of encouragement...I bounce between the two.

Really glad to see them find a place for video game cinematics now that real-time cut scenes have pushed them out of actual games.
