[PAID] UI/UX Artist for new game

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to collaborate on a freelance basis (with potential to turn into more once pre-production ends). The team is currently prototyping a new simulation/management project set in ancient Rome focused around gladiators with gritty visuals.


Responsibilities:


  • Create High-Quality UI Art Assets using Photoshop, Figma, and Unity.
  • Layout and placement of UI assets within Unity canvas/scenes, ensuring color, font and design consistency before developer integration.
  • Work closely with the product team and game director to contribute to the UX design process.
  • Collaborate with the game director to create mockups for prototypes and game concepts, including UI maps and gameplay flow UX wireframes.

Requirements:


  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in the industry, preferably evidenced by shipped projects.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience as a UI/UX Artist in the games industry
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Figma, and Unity.

Nice To Have:


  • An interest in history and simulation/strategy games.
  • Ability to create smooth, engaging UI animations that enhance user interaction.
  • Knowledge of best practices for optimizing UI assets for performance.
  • Experience in designing scalable UI that looks great across various screen resolutions.

ABOUT THE COMPANY


We are a very small studio based in Sweden, we recently released the game Fabledom. Everyone works remote and on their own schedule.
