Hi guys!
This is my first technical topic here, and I hope I'm doing it correctly. I'm trying to create an interior like the one in this reference picture,
but I can't seem to get the same lighting. I'm using a V-Ray dome to light the scene evenly and a V-Ray sun for the light on the wall. Generally, it looks okay, but as you can see, the light in the window is way too strong. I have no idea how to make it look like the reference.
I've also noticed that when working with the V-Ray sun, the room is usually very dark while the sun coming from the window is too strong. I didn't have this problem in Blender.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Maybe try using a large area light instead of a sun. It might give you that softer lighting that you're looking for.
I think commercial photography rarely use raw, direct sunlight; it's almost always modified with diffusers/scrims, or just staged altogether.
