Hello again!
I wanted to share my latest project Ive been working on.
A little background: I play/run tabletop roleplaying games, and there is one of my favourite - Mothership. Its about space horror sci-fi style stories.
We have four character classes to play, and this is one of them - Teamster (tech, support, engineer).
Starting with one of my base models, I began designing clothes for it. Inspired by Alien, I decided to go with a USAF G-4A flight suit.
I decided to create one of those common game scenes where something terrible is about to happen to the character.
You can find more pictures on my ArtStation:
I also have a question about the stitches on clothing.
I picked up this technique from Cyberpunk by CDProject RED. These are trims for topstitch, zippers, or torn edges of clothing.
Unfortunately, the process is pretty tedious. I need to selecting polygons/edges along the stitch line, converting them into a ribbon, and then unwrapping the UV map. It's a shame why Marvelous Designer cant export stitches as ribbons (am i wrong?).
How do you creating stitches on clothing? Do you have any simpler methods?
