Blender 3.6/4.0 Alpha with SDF nodes. Did some one have it?

Sup folks.

Unfortunately it looks like newest Alpha builds (which previously was contain SDF nodes such as "Mesh To SDF Volume") are no longer exist on official site. At try a several of them and even with enabling experimental features and new voluem nodes - SDF nodes are not there

Maybe some one still have an zip archive with 3.6/4.0 alphas (or any other versions) which contains SDF nodes?

From what i know the addon was never part of the official Blender addons that ships with the software. It is at least not inlcuded in Blender 3 and 4. So i think you simply had it installed all the time and migrated it with the click at copy previous settings when a new version arrived. And now the addon refuses to show and activate. To proof my theory, go to (assuming you are at Windows) C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender, and check if the addon can be found there in one of the numbered folders.



The original repo is indeed gone. Means the author has most probably abandoned it. https://github.com/JohnKazucki/sdf-to-mesh

But the addon itself can still be found at Github. https://github.com/hooyuser/blender_sdf_node_addon

The main problem is that it does not enable anymore in Blender 4 and above. Just tested it. The code in this repo is three years old. And the API has changed meanwhile. So "somebody" would need to convert this addon to the Blender 4 API and fix the dll problem. But that's unfortunately not us. As much as we would love to maintain addons too, we have simply not the man power for that, sorry.



What you could do is to use Blender 3 to continue to work with this addon. But the addons is abandoned from what i can see. So i would simply let go.

As i said: none of them contains those old SDF nodes. They have new one SDF which are complitely different thing.
FTP with old builds no longer contains any alpha versions at all.

Very sure. I searched through the repository logs. It has never shipped with Blender in any form.
