Thanks for the great video. SmartExtrude came from Max, where it's been for a while now. Looking forward to more movement between Autodesk's tools. Like more of the sweet USD support from Maya coming over to Max.

Hell yeah, I hope Autodesk takes note and starts trying to just spread the love where it's needed between the two programs.
I always said if Maya had smoothing group control like Max's, plus it's turbo smooth, and edit poly modifier it'd be insanely dangerous. But at the same time.. they're not trying to make one program obsolete by having them both do the exact same stuff.
Steps in the right direction, however. Still love Max though.
Unfortunately Maya smart extrude is just not as good as Max's even tho it is from same root. Just like Nitrous vs Viewport 2.0. The fundamental matters. Try smart extrude in Max and Maya. You can tell the difference.
