Easy way to fit bitmap and fit object with warp projection in Painter ?

I am struggling with warp projection gizmo. it's inconvenient as hell and always blurry . Does anyone know an easy way to fit projection like UVMap modifier in 3dmax? I hope I may missed it somewhere.
