I want to try and capture the look of Kinu Nishimura's artwork of Chun-Li. I'm currently working on the head and the body, paying close attention to the legs, since that's Chun-Li's iconic trait.
The pose you are using is very stiff. It's called a T-pose. These days character artist use the A-pose. T-pose is usually only good for old mocap data. Also your anatomy isn't great. You can use a free program like Daz3D to practice figures.
You can turn off textures on the model to help view forms. Notice the hips are pushed forward slightly to relax the figure. Practice sculpting figures for a while.
