3d Max Weld Problem

Hi,
I have 1 car model. The vertexes of my car model are separate from each other. In Editable Poly, when I select all vertexes in vertex mode and weld them, it merges the vertexes together meaninglessly. I have the same problem even if my Weld setting is 0.02. How can I solve this problem?

    have you reset xform and checked the scale of the object?

    Problem solved. I saved the model as FBX and drew it from scratch. xform reset ate this way.

    mmm, if anyone needs help next time with anything similar the 0.001 + method works dependent on the scale of the object, the select open "edges" option next to the edges icon works to close open edges and uses weld, i usually do open edges selection turn it to either edges or vertex holding control and you "weld" only what is open, unless in what looks like this case you had open edges on everything?  then i think how can you have this issue if you made it? old import? anywho glad it was sorted just posted my solution to the issue good to hear an alternative worked.
