The latest Bifrost version dropped with the first modeling nodes. I hope there is more coming.
There are a lot of nodes for TDs but we need more for Artists.
First try to get an extrude from a plane.

can you chamfer/quadchamfer this stuff based on... i dunno hard edges, or creases?

Not at the moment cause some nodes are missing. But you should be able to select edges based on angle and store that info in a component tag.
I assume we get more modeling nodes with the next update.
A TD could do it right now.
