I'm proud to announce USD for 3ds Max 0.5 was released last week. This version adds several new features and fixes. One of the main new features is support for Morpher modifiers to export as Blendshapes to compliment the Skin to USDSkel we released in version 0.4.
The other new feature that customers have been asking for is support for MaterialX. We have included a new MaterialX Material in the USD plugin that allows you to load MaterialX files into Max and apply them to objects. The USD Exporter has been updated to support MaterialX materials by referencing them in the exported USD files.
