I was trying to make a sort of orthogonal mass of cables (like a motherboard), but i think i'm doing it the wrong way. In the image below i've done it all by hand, and it take a lot of time, i've tried the wireframe modificator but it didnt work the way i wanted to. So my question is: do you know a faster way of doing it? I though about trying to thicken a pattern made with only edges, but i coulnd't figure how.
Depends on if this needs to be a very specific pattern, and what this is used for, but if its just some random pattern that kind of looks like the one on your screenshot, you could do it very easily like in the Blender file I have attached.
Didn't look at the file, but could look into using curves with thickness, the skin modifier on edges or the solidify modifier to give thickness to planar geometry. What should the end result look like?
