Hi Everyone,
I've recently applied for an entry level job as a 3D product visualizer. Company had a 3 phase, 10 weeks training program and between each phase there is a test assignment.
I've had no experience on 3ds max (only CAD and BIM programs: AutoCAD, Allplan) and jumped for the training opportunity. I've passed the first test model (you probably know bench/chair model) and currently on the first phase which is self-training. Company have not contacted me yet. Which I think after 2 weeks they'll send me another test assignment. So they listed things I should learn as below:
I'm currently trying to figure out weaving and trying to model a woven basket. Then I'll move on to array, spacing and scatter tools, UV mapping, retopology.
Any ideas how the next test model would be like? I want to be prepared as much as possible.
Thanks, Have a nice day!

Some good MCG scripts out there for automated basket weaves in Max. https://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max?search=weave+mcg&date%5Bvalue%5D%5Byear%5D=
Lots of other MCG scripts around, for other procedural surfaces.
What company are you applying to?
