Could anyone offer advice on VFX character/model workflow? I have a 200 mil point model in Zbrush with 20 udims, is there any chance of decimating this model and getting it into Painter to texture? That's what I've done before but never with something this dense and only with a few textures. Are there some smart ways to break up the process?

I believe that in the VFX industry they use Mari instead of substance painter because it can handle much higher resolution models.
I would split your model up into much smaller pieces and paint those.
Also it's not unusual to have different models for different shots - so instead of making a single 200 million poly model you make one just for the closeup on the head, one for full body shots, a arm for shots of picking up an object etc. This cuts down on having to make a single super high detail object.
