With Substance 3D Sampler 4.0, you can use real-world images to create 3D objects with automatic subject masking, texture mapping, and geometry decimation.
We'd love to see what you come up with and hear any feedback you may have, feel free to post feedback and scan results here!

How it's vs Reality capture? My experience with iphone pictures in Reality capture results usually in quite so-so geometry surface quality and thus blurry normal maps. Does it work better? Makes any AI tricks on top of photogrammetry? Includes auto retopo?
Reality capture 100% incapable to do the grass . Does Sampler?
Grass isn't getting modelled properly with anything short of a $10000 scanner and perfect conditions so I don't think that's really a fair question to be asking. Maybe just look at this as a way to get reasonable quality results without having to drag a load of equipment around with you?
source : I've got a $1000 scanner and it definitely wouldn't do a good job of grass
I see sort of a grass bunch right of a tree trunk bunch https://youtu.be/5agvuwsu05k?t=18 in the video . So I thought perhaps it's scanned.
Anyway I wonder how it performs vs Reality capture. Does it use any AI to make depth and normal map details more hi res than usual?
My Sigma Foveon dp2q camera copes to get up to fallen leaves veins in a 1x1 m shots coverage and super hi res models . Surely not with iphone camera which always does something averaged ,noisy and lots of artifacts that take forever to clean.
No AI or super-res involved in the process yet, it will capture and generate up to 8k textures though,
