3ds max / Maya - Show window name in minimized mode
Hi guys, I had this issue for ages. You minimize a window in max - No text visible anymore. As soon as I had several windows open, it was a an anoying lottery.
I don't know if this is the best solution, but I found a workaround on Autodesk forum yesterday.
I just want to share it with you, as I found so many useful stuff for me here on polycount.
If there is a better way, I am more than open for it ;)
You need to edit the registry to get this result:
I made a backup of my registry before this via export. You never know
This can take a while.
Go to this folder:
You need to add MinWidth - it's not there.
Right click / New / String Value
Name it MinWidth and put value on -3300.
I have no idea why -3300. I tried -2000 - didn't work.
Now, you need to restart your computer.
Done!
No guarantee of course.
But it is working here and it feels great.
