I am having difficulty figuring out how to wrap the attached PNG around a sphere / Geosphere in 3DS Max 2022
I know how to create the geosphere, increase segments (triangulations) and such to refine the displacement details, height etc.. It's the rest of the process I can not figure out to make it look correct (world globe).
However I am having difficulty trying to figure out which settings in the displacement modifier to achieve a correctly wrapped sphere.
I have attached original and edited image using Photoshop to create a geospheric mapping for a sphere / globe.
I also have Blender as well.. However I do not have any experience using it yet for modeling purposes.. I only use to fast convert .STL - .Obj file formats so I can model in 3DS Max..
I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me out with this..
