Hi, I am a student. I am working on a project for my first sem final. I did a cinematic video of a car with studio lights in Unreal. I would be great full for any of your feedback if anything could be improved.
The lighting is very soft (blurry) and makes the body look mat. Its just personal taste, but I think hardening up the lighting so it looks a little bit glossy would help.
I see. In my opinion sometimes less more is with this kind of presentations (less distraction from car). I would look at some car presentation videos for reference. Currently some cuts seem flickering (during fast transitions screen lights up for a frame, e.g. around 0:53, seats to back of car), others seem jittering/yoyoing (camera goes backwards fast, then moves forward).
It could be interesting to have a simple environment, which shows up in the reflections.
That's the thing; I think most won't listen to a video like this with sound. At least, I tend to mute videos like this by default. So without the sound, the movement seems unusual.

Hi! I think the fast camera movement at the beginning of each cut is quite noticable/ distracting, is this intentional?
Maybe using a simple fade to/from black (like a blink) makes for a more calm presentation.
@Fabi_G fast camera movement was done intentionally to go along with the sound effect.
The car looks super!

@ kanga thank for your feed back, i wanted the the satin finish on the paint and not glossy finish.
But will definitely reduce the roughness on the material and check.
@Fabi_G thanks for your feedback really appreciate it.
Will work on the camera and also check by adding an environment.

Great car and presentation though, generally!
