Mesh invisible/transparent?

Hi

I've just downloaded this model (can you guess who it is based on the silhouette? 😁) and was happy to learn there's a pre-made scene in Marmoset Toolbag with all the lighting and materials set up. :) However, the mesh is... invisible...? Or transparent...? I've tried messing with some settings but can't figure out how to get it to show properly. I'm guessing the last thing done was some shadow captures for beauty renders or something. Does anyone know what the issue could be...? I tried to toggle on/off Backface Culling for the mesh, but the checkbox is greyed out for all parts for some reason. 🤔

Thanks

Well, I would've deleted the thread, but it doesn't appear you can. I figured out the issue in the end. Turns out the meshes had been added as children to a Shadow Catcher. So like I suspected, the last thing done was probably to capture the shadows only. Unparenting the meshes solved the issue, though I coulda sworn I tried that already.

It's better to post the answer if you've learned it, than to delete the thread entirely.

Other people encountering the same or similar problem will find this via search, so it helps to reply with solutions!

Thanks for replying with the solution, and glad you fixed it!

Good point. I just end up feeling like I was being stupid when it turns out to be something simple and that my threads are only clogging up the forums. 😅

Okay, it looks like the issue isn't quite over yet. I went back to it just to see the lighting set up and all I'm getting now is a thin line in the centre. Not sure if there's something with the newer version of Marmoset that's causing the problem... I've tried un-parenting things like the camera and the meshes, but nothing appears to be working this time. :-\

This is with Marmoset Toolbag 4.06 by the way.

Check the mesh transforms, it looks like it has been scaled on X and Z.

Brilliant! Such a simple thing and that's exactly what had happened. No idea how.  =)

    Thank you
