Why after so many years Painter still doesn't have an adequate "roll" brush

The one like in Zbrush , corel painter , 3dcoat, lots of vector editors .

I mean one that's repeating and deforming along a spline or brush stroke. And not just square small dab but long ribbon like image rolling out along.

In some vector tools it could actually be several alternating brush dabs repeating randomly along .

I need to draw a rope or a tire mark/skid on asphalt and it's always so much pain in Substance Painter.

There is a roll brush in the default content. Look for "Paint Roller" in the shelf.

It works best with the lazy mouse on.

oh, sorry. I forgot about lazy brush button . Thanks a lot Jerc.

A lot better when lazy mouse is on but still not as pixel to pixel crisp as in some vector editors. And set up is really painful.

I loved "skeletal" strokes from 25 years old "Expression" vector editor. You could simply add 10 pictures to a vector stroke and it could roll them out in random order along. With a separate start/end pictures. Perfectly crisp and always smoothly curve deformed. Perhaps because of a special pixel snap technique.

I tried to do something like this with indexes and Substance Designer but it never worked.

We need vector strokes in SPainter too. Badly.
