Hey! I'm working on my portfolio project which is low poly VW T1 game asset and would like to get feedback about textures.
The idea is that car is used in post apocalyptic world and final render I'll make in desert scene. There will be props in baggage hold and on the roof top, I'll add them later.
Quickly rendered in Substance Painter because work is in progress. Next I think I'll remake wood texture on planks and also add dirt on car body. Tried to make rust realistic and in proper place.

It looks like a box that has rust textures thrown on. There is no wear and tear because it looks like everything has been applied evenly. The whole point of substance is to be able to control material damage and orchestrate it till it tells a story.

I'd also recommend browsing through stuff made by senior industry people which basically enables access to a ton of relevant insight into all asset creation tasks for free, particularly if the artist is a vehicle specialist as well:
