Hi! I haven't been sculpting for some time, so I picked it up again recently. I'm practicing stylized hair and I wanted to get some feedback on this piece. I wanted it to have a bit of a mysterious vibe with the eccentric mustache and curls in the hair, it was inspired by some gentleman in victorian clothing I saw on the internet. The curls are surprisingly hard to work with, I used a curve brush in Zbrush to create the base, then Dynameshed it together so I could carve lines. Feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi! I think there to many thin tips at the back, resulting in noise. I would try to stylize it more into a large shape, potentially breaking it up with a few strands.

The mustache portion looks a bit like it's growing out of the nostrils. I would double check with some reference images. Probably needs less volume at top/more of an angle growing downwards and more distribution along the upper lip.

    Keep it up!

@Fabi_G thanks for your response and feedback! I'll take those points into consideration, especially regarding the facial hair since I'm personally not really familiar with it, haha :) thanks!!

I agree with the other comment about adding more breakup to the back. For the mustache, it could help to push the mesh closer to the face and follow that contour across the cheeks.

The sculpting on the hair is cool! There's a lot of nice size variety in the front curves
