Hello everyone.

Practicing in creating characters for Game dev. The character will be for a RPG with a view from the top (like NWN2, Wasteland

3). Standard pipeline (sculpting, retopology, UV, bake, texturing, rig)

There are a few questions:

- How correct is the grid on this model or how critically incorrect?

- How unsatisfactory will be the result if I will continue to work with such grid?

- Perhaps there will be some more advice for a beginner?

I am attaching screenshots.

Thanks in advance.

I see a few tris, which can be fine. I personally am a fan to redirect the involved edgeloops. You can run into shading issues here. But in general it looks useful. And allowed is what works. Try it out :)

Neutral pose is good! Generally the figure looks lumpy. Like you started too high rez. Probably this figure suits your purpose but it looks like you need practice on generic models before really nailing the anatomy. Use Daz 3D as a reference.
