Hey!
I'm pretty new to 3D modeling and I want to ask you guys about rigging.
So I was yesterday on Turbosquid, looking for realistic animals models. Some were rigged and had "MateCheck Pro" badge, so I asume they were made very well in technical aspects. But the anatomy of these particular models looked awfuly strange.
I wonder if the fact that they are rigged has something to do with this unnatural look? I mean, are there errors because someone has poor anatomy knowledge or maybe there's some other factor, like I don't know, plugin that stretches particular muscle gruops, that wrongly used can mess up anatomy?
Or do people sell few poses af one model with different muscles visible accordingly to pose?
Or do I know nothing about rigging and write silly questions?
Probably.
Anyway, I'll be very grateful for your answers.
Thank you.

Hard to say without seeing examples. But most models suck simply due to lack of skill by the modeler, not using references, not spending the time necessary to make quality models, etc.
TurboSquid's quality gate is indeed mostly about technical issues only, not about aesthetic quality.
Oki, I see. Many thanks for your reply :)
