What was initially inspiration to render a rally car in a studio setting quickly evolved into trying to place the car I chose in an environment that was contextually relevant. A winter forest scene sounded like a great idea.
Software invovled:
Maya (main asset organization and prepping)
Blender (fast remeshing and optimizing of high poly objects)
Substance Painter (Texture tweaks and custom dirt and grunge)
Unreal Engine 5 (shading, lighting and rendering)
Photoshop (Livery edits and still images grading)
Resolve (video editing and grading)
This was a good project in pushing lighting further as well as working with high poly assets. Lots of areas to take into the next project and improve on.
Higher res shots and some extra stills and a video can be found on my behance - https://www.behance.net/gallery/150872983/1985-Audi-Sport-Quattro-S1-%28UE5%29

NIce work! I've love detail up close expecially on the tire shot. Have you tried convolution bloom inside ue5? It's not too performance intensive but it might help ad some depth to the headlights.
Thanks! I have not. I did not believe that convolution would add depth here. Definitely going to have a look now and dive into it!
do you have any resources you've used to explain more about this other than the docs?
