Super spooky, this is cool! Seems pretty cool. Have you tried adding any particles or maybe another mesh underneath with a stronger glow? I dig the idea, I think the face can get lost at certain angles.
Like putting a mesh inside the face with the same color as the glow? I can try that

something i find very effective with all character work i do is overlay an unobtrusive top-down lighting to pop and unify the forms together. you can then change the temperature of colors as it attenuates down the form.
