[Full Time] Concept Environment Artist

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced Concept Artist to help us develop fun and exciting game content and experiences as we build the Core Metaverse. As an artist on the team, you will work on a wide range of genres and create a toolbox for our creators to build their own games and experiences. Our headquarters are located in San Mateo, CA but this role can be fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Create production of concepts with a focus on environment, prop and world design.
- Iterate quickly and take concepts to a polished level.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in game development as an artist specializing in Photoshop and Maya.
- Demonstrate a strong foundation of drawing skills.
- Mastery of form, shape, structure, and silhouette.
- An eye for composition and color.
- Ability to adapt to an established art style.
- Exceptional understanding of modularity and building tilesets for games.
- Demonstrate artistic flexibility and be able to work on a range of genres and styles.
- Great teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to work creatively as part of a large or small group and respond well to artistic feedback.
Pluses
- Proficient in 3D and able to utilize this skill set for paint overs.
- Skill in one or more related disciplines – 3D modeling, graphic design, UI, storyboarding, animation, visual effects, or technical art.
- Experience working in different art styles.
- Understanding of working in game engines such as Unreal.
- Fluency in NFTs, Crypto, Metaverse.
