Gesture Drawing Critique

Hello! New polycount user here.

I'm currently building a portfolio to pursue my BFA in digital production in Game art. I'm mainly a 3D artist, however it would benefit me greatly to include some more traditional art to showcase my foundation. I wouldn't say drawing is necessarily my strong suit, however I think I am capable of at least showcasing art that will show I can survive in a traditional composition or life drawing class.

I figured showing some gestures would be a good way to show that, and I could use some critique on them. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Good start these are some strong gesture sketches the only thing I can say is to keep it going.

as studies these are great. the merit here is putting the art process on display. a peel of a larger view, from warm ups, 5 min sketches, 30 min, 1 hour, so on...

what makes gestural sketches exciting as a show piece is an isolation of precision in draftsmanship, insights to process, and expressive sparks unique to a medium.

Thank you both for the input! I'm working on some more 10 minute gestures today, however maybe I'll put some even longer drawings like a 30 minute or whatever sparks my interest to showcase the process more.

    Thanks again!
