I’m making a scene of a train car with a big window and I’m trying to make it look like an environment is passing by ideally without modeling an entire world any suggestions on how to do this?
That’d actually work but what would it entail basically just using after effects to put it over it? And I had initially wanted it to affect shadows in the car but if that’s not doable then I’ll go that route
I still don’t see how they show how it’s done?? There’s a few seconds that shows they’re moving something behind the singer’s window but not sure how that’ll apply to doing it in maya?
I’m making a scene from the view of a train car and I’m trying to figure out how to texture a large chunk of terrain for rendering a scene from a train car which is basically a large bedroom but I want to make the land look very good can anyone suggest a workflow for texturing a large piece of land like would i use substance painter I’m figuring I’ll use the generate feature in maya to make trees but not sure how to make ground/grass any ideas?

Thinking of making it using an hdmi image and rotating it would this look good or crappy?

If they didn't need after effects and did zero edits in post, then why would you need it ?
I was asking if that’s how they did it?
Is your end result going to be a bunch of screenshots? Or a video? Or a playable game level?
Short video for my portfolio/ demo reel
could have been done in aftereffects, could be done in any 3d software, or comp software, heck even photoshop could work.
"I was asking if that’s how they did it?"
They show how it's done multiple times during the course of the performance ... Have you watched the video ?

Well ... I stand by my belief that you still haven't watched it. They litterally show the whole set multiple times ...
Make a video from the window of a vehicle. Map this onto the inside window of your train car. Done.

I merged your new topic back into your existing one, as this provides context for answers. Plus it avoids forum clutter which members appreciate.
Anyhow, do you have references for how you would like the scenery to look?
