Putin's Carnal Desire
This is a piece I made at the start of the Russian Genocide of the Ukrainian People.
To clarify the message behind the artwork I think it's important to explain one detail. While the Hammer and Sickle may be identifiable with communism, I am not making a critique of communism in anyway. This is specifically drawing a connection between Putin's obsession with the legacy of the Soviet Union (who regularly used this symbol) and it's current dilapidated state. His mad carnal desire to resurrect a dead empire have torn open the heart of the innocent people of Ukraine.
Workflow: I didn't bother posting any wireframes as it's all fairly simple and I felt it would bog down the message. I made the flag with an nCloth, I sculpted the blood from a plane underneath the flag, and I did the rusting hammer and sickle with procedural Arnold nodes.
