Hardware to improve Video Rendering?

Hey guys, just wanted to ask what is the best way to improve video rendering times in Toolbag 4.04? I currently have an AMD 3700x , Nvidia 2070 RTX and 32GB of ram. I'm thinking more RAM would help with rendering times?

Toolbag predominately uses the GPU for rendering, so a faster GPU will improve render times.

Since you have an RTX card, switching from the CPU to the GPU denoiser will increase rendering times if you're using ray tracing as well. The CPU denoiser takes about 1 second per frame to run at 1920x1080, which can add up with longer video renders.

Decreasing rendering quality will help to increase render times as well. When using ray tracing, the sample setting (set in the video output options) is the main parameter to control to increase/decrease quality and render times.

Thanks for that. I noticed that when I select GPU for the Denoise option under "Output"(both for Image and Video), that the "High" setting is not selectable but when CPU is chosen, I can select the High setting. Any idea why? Should I be using the GPU option instead of CPU?

The CPU denoiser has a higher quality mode that isn't supported by the GPU one, so the quality when using the GPU mode is a little worse. But the GPU version is a lot faster. So I would recommend doing some render tests and seeing if the difference is worth the extra render time.

Thanks again, great info. I was using the CPU version for both video and images. For images it was fine in terms of time but I will do tests for video to see if the wait time is worth the higher quality.
